Dan & Seija Terry:
The Terrys call Afghanistan "home". Dan had his first assignment in Afghanistan in 1976 and has never wanted to leave. Dan and his wife Seija married in 1976. The couple has lived inAfghanistan since 1980 and have 3 daughters. The Terrys relay on the example of their personal lives and deeds to communicate the good news of Christ to the people of Afghanistan. Guatemala
Jaime & Melissa Garcia:
The Garcia Family includes: Rebeka – 16 yrs Feb 2010; Elizabeth–11 yrs Nov 2009; Sarah–4 yrs Jun 2010; Jaime–Dec; Melissa–Sep; Melissa is the daughter of Sally & Dean Fazenbaker and grew up at Trinity. See page 10 of "Trinity Missions Manual" for more information. www link: www.reydelasnaciones.com
Ghana, West Africa
Dr. Cameron & Anne Gongwer
The Gongwer family includes: Dr. Cameron Gongwer, his wife Anne Gongwer and daughter Caylor. The Gongwers serve in Ghana, West Africa. Cameron served as the first full time doctor and medical superintendent of the Ankasse hospital as it grew from a health center to a district hospital. Now the hospital is headed by a Ghanaian management team. Cameron is also training Ghanaian doctors in Family Medicine, planting churches with Ghanaian chriostians through medical evangelism outreaches, and other medical endeavors among the poor. Anne has coordinated the development of the Ankaase Literacy Program which resulted in Ghanaian volunteers teaching over 80 people to read the Bible in their mother tongue. Trinity UMC Adult Mission Trips
The Trinity Missions Committee sponsors an (adult) mission trip to the missions of Guatemala led by Jaime and Melissa Garcia, starting 17 April, 2010. Interested adults should contact Phil & Merie Omsberg, 561-630-0258 for more information. This year, the trip is undertaking construction of 2 additional school rooms and several other minor "bulding" projects. For those who can not make the trip what ever the reason, there is the opportunity to share vicariously in this trip by donating money for supplies and/or to hire locals for the physical labor that is involved in the construction program being undertaken. Please consider this opportunity.
Trinity UMC Student Mission Trips
In summer of 2010, Trinity's high school students will have the opportunity to participate in a mission program in the Bahamas, and an opportunity to learn about some near, but nevertheless international, neighbors.
