From Mike Ford:
The Good Samaritan class is one of the longest standing groups at Trinity.  Our 20-25 members, mostly boomers, enjoy fellowship and study each Sunday at 10 am.  We are a social, fun-loving group of couples, and singles … that have a history of parties, trips, activities, and charity.   Currently, we are studying ‘Discovering the Reality of the Unseen World’ from ‘The Foundations for Christian Living’ series …. from Navpress (Navigators International)

As a class, we pursue the mystery of God together and discover ways to draw closer to him, and learn how to live genuinely in this fast-paced, complex world.   Our studies will help you strengthen your relationship with Him and with the rest of His family. The class is facilitated by a rotating group of teachers who include Danny Knight, June Clarke, and Mike Ford. Our group would welcome your visiting us soon for guaranteed growth, fun and laughter.

From Bob Nagy:
Our Sunday school class is about 15 members on any given Sunday. We meet after the 9 o’clock service for about an hour. We discuss the lessons from the Adult Bible Studies, Published by the Abingdon Press out of Nashville, Tn. We have between 5 and 6 teachers who rotate, Vida Jones, Garth Russell, Rae Bonner, Alan Winslow, Tony Zmistowski and Bob Nagy.

Our studies for January 2010 revolve around evidences of Jesus as The Messiah.
We have a group of individuals ranging from 50’s to 90’s. A fun environment as well as a very good learning experience. Always something to know or to be known.
We welcome even more people of faith to our group, so where are you???

Although the Christmas celebration has come and gone, we still have Epiphany on the 6th of January when we remember the coming of the wise men to seek and worship the Savior. But for the most part , the ‘world’ is over it. The commercialism, the colored lights the decorations are put away until next fall. The World moves on with “business as usual”, and no different than before. But we need to be different, to remember the feelings of Christmas, of the Lord’s coming into the world for us and let that make a difference in who we are all year.

Remember the prophetic words in Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23
"Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel" (which being interpreted is, "God with us") It does not qualify that to the month of December each year. It meant always and at all times.

We have heard the message on Sundays that we should be moving from Consumption to Compassion, to experience a J.O.Y. filled life. (Jesus, Others, Yourself)

Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Hold tightly to that joy, generosity, love and sensitivity that we experience during the Christmas season hold it close to your heart as you remember that Emmanuel is with us all year! Praise God!!!
